Our Story
A Family, a Bag of Semolina, and a Lot of Love.
Nonna Campi is a small, family-run pasta shop named after Maria’s Italian grandmother. Every batch is made to order, by hand, the way it has been done in the family for generations.
From an Italian family in Argentina to a kitchen in Latrobe.
Maria grew up in a wonderful Italian family in Argentina, where food and traditions were always at the center of the dinner table. That love for homemade meals is exactly what inspired her to start making fresh pasta here in Latrobe, named in honor of her grandmother, Nonna Campi.
Every batch is made to order, prepared with care, and ready for Friday pickup at our kitchen or local delivery in Latrobe. We shape our pasta using traditional bronze dies, the same molds old-world pasta makers have used for generations. Bronze creates a naturally rough, porous surface, so sauce clings instead of sliding off and the flavor comes through richer in every bite.
Just simple semolina flour and water, worked by hand and packed fresh. No artificial preservatives, no additives, no eggs. Nothing in the package except the pasta itself and the date we made it.
If you have never tried real fresh pasta before, trust us. Fresh does not compare to anything else.
“Thank you all for supporting this new journey.”
Maria, Nonna Campi
What “The Nonna Way” Means to Us
The Nonna Way is a way of doing things, not a slogan. It means you do not cut corners when food is involved. It means you use the ingredients your grandmother would have used and you skip the ones she would not have recognized. It means slow production over fast output. And it means caring about the person who is going to eat what you made, even if you will never meet them.
When you open a package of Nonna Campi pasta, that is what you are getting. The same care that goes into a family meal, packaged up and ready for yours.
